Know Your Warranty

What do you do when you've had your treatment for a year or so and the controls or cord breaks or your blind or shutter begins to warp, crack or peel?

The warranty of the treatment will depend on where you bought your blind and who manufactured the blind.

No Warranty
Usually found with " off the shelf" products. These items are considered disposable, and will usually be covered by the store return policy. If the blind has been cut down or altered the return is almost impossible.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
The product has a limited lifetime, usually 1 to 3 years. After that time, cords, controls and fabric separation are not covered.

Lifetime Limited Warranty
This warranty comes with all Hunter Douglas products. You will have a limited warranty for the lifetime of the product when it has been installed properly and has not been misused or abused. Hunter Douglas considers the product lifetime to be 10 years, although Advanced Window Fashions has never seen them not honor a true warranty issue. the Hunter Douglas warranty is also easy to read. Hunter Douglas even guarantees cords for 7 years and motors for 5 years.
